George H. Walters, Sr.
George H. Walters Sr. WATERTOWN, N.Y. — George H. Walters Sr., 60, of NYS Route 37, died Monday, Feb. 8, at his home.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, with a funeral on Friday.
Born Feb. 14, 1949, in Portland, Maine, the son of James and Betty Starling Walters, he graduated from local school. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War era.
Mr. Walters owned and operated Drum Cab for a number of years before retiring.
A marriage to Peggy A. Hayes ended in divorce.
Surviving are two sons; George Jr. and Michael Walters, both of Watertown; two daughters and their husbands, Michelle and John Jensen, Ala., and Rose and Frederick Miller, Ogdensburg; two brothers, Ralph Walters, N.C., and Michael Walters, Mass.; two sisters, Rose Walters, N.H., and Patricia Walters Tepovich, Va.;five grandchildren, Ian and Alana Miller, Hannah Jensen, George III and Jonathan Walters.
