CHAUMONT, N.Y. —Kandice T. Scales, 47, of Three Mile Point Road South, died Oct. 10 at her home of brain cancer.
Born Aug. 1, 1964, in Stugart, Germany, the daughter of, Harold V. Sr. and Marion Ward Allyn, she graduated from Lyme Central School and attended Jefferson Community College.
She married Leslie Scales on April 25, 1986, in Chaumont.
Kandice was a member of the Three Mile Bay Fire Department and enjoyed reading and crochet.
Surviving are a husband, Leslie, Chaumont; a son Leslie Scales 2nd, Chaumont; a daughter and her husband, Kristyn and Jason Potter, Chaumont; five brothers, James Burchill, PA, Keith Burchill, Rome, NY, Kevin Burchill, Chaumont, Michael Allyn and Harold Allyn Jr. both of Georgia; two sisters Katherine Burchill, Watertown and Karen Christianson, Utah; a granddaughter, Liliana Potter; several nieces and nephews.
A son, Robert James Passage, died in 2001. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Christian Life Center, Chaumont, with Pastor James Hayes officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are with the Becker – Cleveland Funeral Home, Chaumont.
