Ruth M. Taylor, 95, of Lowville, passed away Friday, March 30, at River Ledge Nursing Facility surrounded by her family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Cleveland Funeral Home, Watertown.
She was born June 23, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of William and Elsie McHugh Mann. She worked as a telephone switchboard operator for a short time.
She married to Robert A. Taylor on Dec. 21, 1940 in Horsham, PA. Rev. Robert Taylor passed away April 6, 1998.
She was a loving mother, wife and sister of 4 and 1 brother.
Surviving her are five sons, Robert and Theodora Taylor, Eustis, FL, Rev. Keith and Kathy Taylor, Denison, TX, Philip and Mary Taylor, Summerville SC, Paul and Laura Taylor, New Port Ritchey, FL, John and Kari Taylor, Lowville, NY; four daughters, Sharon and Ronald Durham, Gouverneur, NY, Rebecca Taylor, Philippines, Priscilla and James Jenne, Massena, NY and Bethany and Douglas Main, Black River, NY; a sister Lois Craven, Sellersville, PA; 23 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a loving caretaker for more than 20 years to Michael Woffard who passed away on March 3, 2014.
A Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 7 at 11:00 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church, 20022 NYS Rte 3, Watertown, NY, with the Rev. Keith Taylor officiating. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in Swinburg Cemetery, Deer River, NY in the spring.
