CAPE VINCENT – Kirk C. Hogestyn, 75, of Humphrey Rd, Cape Vincent, died June 4, suddenly at his home.  

Arrangements are under the care of Cleveland Funeral Home, Cape Vincent.

He was born March 15, 1942 in Batavia, NY the son of the late Earl and Viola Rowley Hieght. He was a toolmaker for many years at Delphi Corp in Rochester NY, retired on June 30, 2006.

He was married two times to Karen Glance and Betty Gerken.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Squadron 942, Webster, NY.  He was an avid hunter in his younger years and loved to fish.

He is survived by three children, Carrie Santana, Rochester,NY,  David Hogestyn, FL, and Lori Brock and her significant other, Jason Vossler, PA; a brother, Richard Hogestyn, Webster, NY; two sisters, Anita Furness, Albion, NY and Kathy (Albert) Taylor, Port Byron, NY; 5 grandchildren. Tanya, Anthony, Marisa, Zach and Brittany; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special friend Dave Werth.

He is predeceased by his brother Sonny Hogestyn; and Special friend Carol Werth.

Family and friends may attend the memorial service on July 15, 2017 at Riverside Cemetery, Cape Vincent, NY.

Memorial donation maybe given in his memory to The American Cancer Society.
