Charles C. Bourquin, 93, of Mason Road in Cape Vincent, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Cleveland Funeral Home, Cape Vincent, NY.
There will be no calling hours. There will be a 10:00 AM service on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Three Mile Bay. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Cape Vincent.
Charles was born on July 7, 1923 a son to Christopher and Florence (Pope) Bourquin. He attended Three Mile Bay School.
Charles married Wava Pilon on October 23, 1943 in the Three Mile Bay Baptist Church.
Charles purchased the farm from his father in the 1940’s, where he and his wife ran the farm on Fox Creek Road. He was active in the Dairy Herd Improvement Association as well as the farming community. He retired in 1979 and spent winters in Frostproof, FL and summers at their home on Pillar Point. In 1995, he became a full time resident of Florida until he moved back to Cape Vincent in 2009.
He loved to fish, do crafts, and play shuffle board.
He is survived by his wife, Wava; his children, Lewis Bourquin, Washington; Sharon (David) Johnson, Clayton; Charles Bourquin, Chaumont; Linda (Terry) Aubertine, Cape Vincent; Jeannie (Donald) Docteur, Cape Vincent; Wendy (Andrew) Binsley, Cape Vincent; and John Bourquin, Adams; 21 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren; his sister, Elizabeth Bourquin of Chaumont and brother, George of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Vickie Bourquin (Wiley).
