CAPE VINCENT, N.Y. — Rose E. Votra, 74, formerly of Votra Road, died Sunday, April 18, at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home, Watertown.
Born August 31, 1935 in Cape Vincent, the daughter of Raymond and Ruth Bourcy Votra. She attended local schools.
She worked for the Bomax Corp. in Watertown for a number of years until becoming disabled.
Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Lisa and Stanley Bonesteel, North Bangor, N.Y.; two brothers, Donald and Marvin Votra, Cape Vincent; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Elsie Garnsey, Clayton, Doris Brown, Watertown and Marilyn and Dennis Epinosa, Salina, Kan..; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Andy Bonesteel; a great-granddaughter, Brynn; several nieces and nephews.
Miss Votra was a member of St. Vincent of Paul Church, Cape Vincent, and the Altar and Rosary Society. She member of the choir and taught religious instruction classes for 35 years.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Cape Vincent, and an avid basketball fan for local high school and college teams.
