A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6,, at the Cleveland Funeral Home, Watertown, with calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. prior to the service. 

Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.

WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  Dorothy Trudeau, 86, formerly of Black River Road and Watertown, passed away Jan. 14, 2010, in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas

“Dot” lived a long and full life and touched the lives of many.  

Born May 2, 1923, in Minetto, N.Y., the daughter of Paul and Anna Edgar, she attended schools in Watertown and graduated in 1941 from Watertown High School.  

Dorothy was a telephone operator for the New York Telephone Company, Watertown, retiring after 34 years of service.  

Near the end of her Telephone Co. service, she married Walton J. Trudeau, the long time owner of the Revera Restaurant, on the Black River Road

After her retirement, she helped her husband Walton with the operation of the Revera. After Walton’s death in 1984, she started work for JC Penney Co. and subsequently moved to Texas where she continued to work for JC Penney Co., totaling over 20 years. 

Dorothy enjoyed traveling, cruises, the St. Lawrence River, the 1000 Islands and spending time with her family. 

She is survived by her sons, Robert Cosselman and wife Tori, California, James Cosselman and wife Pam, Texas, Jack Cosselman, New Hampshire and Brian Cosselman and wife, Betty, Three Mile Bay; a brother David Edgar of Felts Mills; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.  

She was predeceased by her pervious husband, Kent H. Cosselman, also of Watertown. She married Kent in 1946 and had four boys. Kent was a railroad engineer until his death in 1973.  She was also predeceased by her sisters, Carol Edgar McNulty and Jean Edgar Houghton, both previously of Watertown
