CAPE VINCENT, N.Y. — Mary A. Trottier, 90, of Bay Street, died Monday, April 19, at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home, Watertown.
She was born June 20, 1919, in North Adams, Mass., the daughter of Daniel and Agnes Millis, one of 11 children. After graduating from St. Joseph’s High School in North Adams, she worked in the office of the Gale Shoe Co.
She married Armand J. Trottier in 1940 in St. Francis Church in North Adams. Mr. Trottier died in 1974.
She had spent many years working for J.J. Newberry and the local North Adams Newspaper.
After her retirement, she moved to Cape Vincent to be close to her family.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Ron and Toni, Cape Vincent; a daughter, Diane M. Salisbury, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Nancy Millis, Rhode Island; three grandchildren, Thomas and his wife Christina and their son McKennon, Pamelia, and Holly and Kathleen Trottier, Cape Vincent; many nieces and nephews.
Mary was a member of St. Vincent of Paul Church, Cape Vincent and loved spending time and doing things for and with her family.
She always had a smile for everyone.
Donations in her memory may be given to the Cape Vincent Ambulance Fund, Cape Vincent.
