Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at Congregation Degel Israel Synagogue on Thompson Boulevard in Watertown.
Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at the Cleveland Funeral Home, Watertown.
WATERTOWN, N.Y. — Frances C. "Faye" Simon, 89, a 65-year resident of Watertown, and formerly of Barben Ave, died Monday, Aug. 23, at her home in Fayetteville after a long illness.
She was married for 63 years to Stewart Simon of Watertown. She was the daughter of Isadore and Esther Cohen of West Carthage.
She is survived by her brother, Philip S. Cohen, of Richmond, Virginia, her son, Stephen H. Simon, of Fayetteville, her son and daughter-in-law, Mark E. Simon and Roberta K. Simon, of Scarsdale, New York, and her granddaughter, Lauren E. Simon, of New York City.
Born March 26, 1921, in Trenton, New Jersey, the daughter of Isadore and Esther Cohen, she was raised in West Carthage. After graduation from West Carthage High School, she worked as a civilian for the Army during World War II.
For the last 37 years, she was a resident of Siesta Key, Florida and Watertown.
Faye was a lifelong and very active member of Congregation Degel Israel Synagogue and also belonged to the Sisterhood and Hadassah.
She was also a member of the Watertown Golf Club.
