CAPE VINCENT, N.Y. — David H. Perkins, 65, formerly of Cape Vincent, died May 7, at Bath VA Hospital, Bath, N.Y.
He was born Aug. 29, 1944, in Chaumont, the son of Walter and Elsie Chamberlain Perkins.
Mr. Perkins joined the Air Force in 1962 and joined the Navy in 1969, retiring in 1983.
A marriage to Linda Scale ended in divorce.
Mr. Perkins married Sonya Miller June 29, 1969, at First Baptist Church in Watertown.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, David McCarter, Depauville, and Levi Perkins, Cape Vincent; a daughter, Farrah Perkins, Watertown; a grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, Benjamin, Johnny, Edward, and two sisters, Mary Jane Davis, and Alice Durbin, all died before him.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 14, at Becker-Cleveland Funeral Home, Chaumont. Burial will follow in New Cedar Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday May 13, at the Becker-Cleveland Funeral Home, Chaumont.
