CHAUMONT, N.Y. — Lynn Smith Pascal, 56, Chaumont, passed peacefully Sept. 29 after a battle with cancer.
Lynn was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and aunt who brought joy, comfort and happiness to those around her. She was a compassionate person who enjoyed gardening, baking, canning preserves and vegetables and simple pleasures of walking the fields and pastures of rural New York.
Spending time with Lynn was as easy as breathing and so enjoyable that others sought refuge in her company. She will be profoundly missed by her family and others who knew and loved her.
She worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Middletown and East Hartford, Connecticut for nearly three decades, before her diagnosis of an inoperable brain tumor in February 2008.
She was the daughter of the late Clark and Mary (nee Campbell) Smith, of Glastonbury, Conn., and Watertown, N.Y..
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lyme Community Foundation, P.O. Box 601, Chaumont, NY 13622.
