Terrence W. Kelly

CHAUMONT, N.Y.  —   Terrence W. “Ted” Kelly, 94, of Old Town Springs Road, died Saturday, Nov. 20, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. 

He was born, Aug. 25, 1916, in Lansing, Mich., the son of William and Ethel Taffee Kelly.

He married Helena Roch on Feb. 22, 1941, in Middletown, N.Y.  He served in the US Army 1943 to 1945.

Mr. Kelly was an elementary school principal for many years in the Roslyn Public School District.

Mr. Kelly was a chairman of the Town of Lyme Planning Board.  

He also had his private pilot’s license and he was an avid flyer.  

He loved to travel and fish.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Terrence W. Kelly Jr., Paris, Tenn., and Michael Kelly, Chaumont; two sisters and their husbands, Susan and Richard Yolevich, Rochester, and Kathleen and Wayne Munson, Tallahassee, Fla.; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

A sister, Patricia Sweeney, died before him.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date, masses said in his honor.
