A funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at Trinity Episcopal Church, Watertown, with Rev. Clarke French officiating. Burial will be in the spring. Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 6, at Cleveland Funeral Home, Watertown.
WATERTOWN, N.Y. — Virginia M. Guinn, 86, formerly of 225 E. Hoard St., died Tuesday, March 3, at Samaritan Keep Home where she had resided for the past three years.
Born May 22, 1923, in Watertown, the daughter of Frederick and Mary Langouer Bearden, she graduated from Watertown schools.
She married Elvie O. "Bill" Guinn on Aug. 13, 1943, at the home of Reverend Spencer Reed, Lowville. Mr. Guinn died Feb. 22, 1993.
Mrs. Guinn and her husband established Bill Guinn Frame and Front end Service in 1967, where she served as secretary and she was also a homemaker.
She was a communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church, Watertown, and a member of the choir for years.
She and her husband were sponsors of many bowling teams through the years and an officer of the Seaway Lanes bowling league.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Connie L. and Steven Bellinger, Henderson Harbor, and Candace L. Guinn Currey, Ottawa, Canada; two sisters, Connie Sayyeau, Watertown, and Isabelle Otakie, Redwood; nine grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
A son, William G. Guinn, and a brother, Danny Bearden, died before her.
