Martha L. Gonyea

CAPE VINCENT, N.Y. — Martha L. Gonyea, 75, of County Route 7, died Monday, May 17, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.

Born April 25, 1935, in Okriftel, Germany, she graduated from local schools.

She married Peter Gonyea on Aug. 15, 1961, and the couple moved to the United States on June 15, 1962.

Mrs. Gonyea worked as a cashier for OTB in Waverly, N.Y. The Gonyea’s owned a home on County Route 7 since 1985, retiring there in 1997 and spending winters in Florida.

Surviving are her husband, Peter, Cape Vincent; three sons, Hans Keck, Manchester, Conn., Michael Gonyea, Overland Park, Kan., and Patrick Gonyea, Owego, N.Y.; and a granddaughter, Alyssa Gonyea, Overland Park, Kan.

Donations may be given in her memory to the American Diabetes Association, Lomond Office Park, 110 Lomond Court, Utica, NY, 13502.

There will be no funeral services.
