Robert E. Forth

CAPE VINCENT, N.Y.  —    Robert E. Forth, 87, Cape Vincent, formerly of Syracuse, died Thursday, Nov. 4, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.  

Born May 9, 1923, in Syracuse, the son of Arthur and Mary Behn Forth, he graduated from local schools and served in the Army during World War II. 

He married Hilda Rosenberger December 16, 1944, at the West Genesee Methodist Church. 

 Mr. Forth owned Roth Jewelry Co., Syracuse, till retiring in 1981. 

The couple lived in the Syracuse area until moving to Cape Vincent in 2000. They wintered in Hawaii for 25 years.

He was a member of Crossroads Lodge F & AM Lodge in Solvay and the American Gem Society.

Surviving are his wife, Hilda, Cape Vincent; a son and his wife, Richard and Lucille Forth, Pa.; a daughter and her husband, Nancy and Clyde Calhoun, Hawaii; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Esther McDermott, Cicero and Edna Forth, Liverpool.

Funeral services will be private.
