WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  Mary A. Gaffney Folley, 76, of Parkview West in Knoxville, Tenn., died Saturday, April 17, at Parkwest Medical Center after a sudden, short illness with her sons and daughter at her beside. She had recently moved to Knoxville from northern Ohio where she had resided for fifty years. 

Born April 24, 1933, in Watertown, the daughter of George and Marguerite Crowe Gaffney, she graduated in 1950 from Watertown High School. 

She married Andrew G. Folley on Aug. 24, 1952, in Watertown. 

She worked as an executive secretary for the athletic department at Kent State University for many years, retiring in 1992. 

She worked at the Horizon Activities Center in Lorain, Ohio, and volunteered at New Life Hospice in Cleveland, Ohio. 

Surviving are three sons, Dr. Andrew (Lorree Taylor) Folley, Corpus Christi, Texas, Michael (Jill) Folley of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Dr. William (William Myers) Folley, Knoxville, Tenn.; a daughter, Dr. Candace (David) Zubricky of Cleveland, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Austin, Caitlyn, Tarrah, Meghan, Kodye, Jake, Ryan, Kyle, Jake, Rex and Penelope. 

Her parents and two brothers, George and William, died before her.
