A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at United Church of Cape Vincent, with the Rev. Mark Pierce, officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Cape Vincent. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at Cleveland Funeral Home, Cape Vincent. 

CAPE VINCENT, N.Y.  —  Olive D. Chapman, 92, formerly of 270 Elm St., died Friday, Oct. 23, at Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown. 

Born Oct. 13, 1917, in Egham Sunney, England, the daughter of Samuel and Ellen Clarke Evans, she graduated from Cape Vincent schools.   

Mrs. Chapman was a homemaker.

She married George Chapman on May 25, 1940. Mr. Chapman died April 23, 1990. 

She was a member of the United Church of Cape Vincent and the women’s group. 

Surviving are two sons and their wives, Robert and Geraldine Chapman, Cape Vincent, Terry and Karen, Chaumont; two daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Thomas Marsh, Rochester, Patricia and Thomas Taylor, Alexandria Bay; two sisters, Dorothy Chapman, Watertown, Mary Pierce, Ohio; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.   

Two brothers Roy and Charles Evans and four sisters Helen Ada, May Loomis, Florence Babcock, and Ada Heaslip, all died before her.
